Effects of the Icelandic Volcano

The eruption of the Icelandic Volcano has caused many effects all around the world. The first effect was serious local flooding, also westerly winds have spread the volcano's ash plume across much of Europe and as a result, grounding thousands of airline flights, general distress and wonderment. Furthermore, the eruption sent sulfuric ash into the stratosphere , so it reflected enough light to cool global ground temperatures by about 1 degreee Fahrenheit for the next two years. This eruption caused scientists to suggest to intentionally distribute sulfur dioxide in the stratosphere as a solution to global warming.

According to Stephen J. Dubner at his article about icelandic volcano, inform us about impacts and future effects that can have. The first effect is that, the volcano has produced serious local flooding. Also westerly winds have spread the volcano's ash plume across Europe. This caused the grounding of thousands of airline flights and causing general distress and wonderment.Another effect was the cooling effect of volcanic eruptions because when it is sprayed so much sulfuric ash into the stratosphere that it reflected enough sunlight to cool global ground temperatures by about 1 degree Fahrenheit for the next tow years. Finally this Phenomenon embraced the scientists to research new methods for the cool down of the Planet Earth. In addition this Phenomenon can happen anytime and nobody can control it.

Eyjafjoll Eruption

Eyjafjoll is a volcano in southern Iceland, which has recently erupted and had a lot of effects in the earth. First of all it has produced serious local flooding. As a result of westerly winds have spread the volcano ash plume across Europe, which effect grounding thousands of airline flights and causing general distress and wonderment. Another effect that is possible to happen is the change of global ground temperature, as it happened in the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines in 1991. In conclusion, volcano eruptions effects the nature and our everyday life.

Volcano Eruption in Iceland

Recently, a volcano in Iceland known as Eyjafjoll has erupted and became quite famous because of its effects worldwide. More specifically, it caused serious local flooding. What is more, due to westerly winds, the volcano's ash plume has been spread across Europe, causing a general distress and the cancelling of flights all around the contintent. However, this eruption might prove useful in the future, as some scientists claim that sulfuric ash can be sent into the stratosphere and cool the planet, solving the Earth's overheating. Others believe that this eruption wasn't big enough for this but it was a precursor to a larger eruption that could probably affect the climate. This event may be the proof that good things can result from bad ones.

Effects of the volcano eruption

The Eyjafjoll volcano, located in southern Iceland, erupted on the 14th of April 2010. From this eruption Eyjafjoll has effected Europe in many ways.First effect was the fact that it produced serious local flooding throughout Iceland. Second effect which made international news was the spreading of the volcano's ash plume across much of Europe. This lead to thousands of airline flights cancelations. By the same reason this caused general distress and wonderment thoughout the world. Another possible effect was the cooling effect to the globe by the sulfuric ash which was distributed into the stratosphere. This reflected enough sunlight to cool global ground temperature by 1 degree Fahrenheit. The final possible effect is that this volcanic eruption is a precursor to another larger eruption which will cause bigger climate effects. By these effects we can see that our globe climate will suffer for many years to come.

The causes and effects

According to Stephen J.Dubner a volcano in southern iceland  known as Eyjafjoll  erupted  and has serious effects. The first effect about the eruption it has produced serious local flloding.Another effect is that westerly winds spread the volcano's ash plume acrooss much of Europe.Because of that thousands of airline flights were canceled and causing general distress and wonderment. In that area of the volcano another effect  is that the temperature reduced by about 1 degree Fahrenheit.Volcano eruption is a natural phenomenon that can  happen any time.

Effects of the Icelandic volcano eruption

The eruption of the Icelandic volcano known as Eyjafjoll affected not only the Iceland but also the whole world. The first effect were the serius floodings.Another one effect is the spread of the volcano's ash plume across europe. This caused the grounding of thousands of airline flights, general distress and wonderment. The ash that was released in the atmosphere was also full of substances like sulfur dioxide that may cause some climate changes in the future.Another one effect that is not so sure is that the volcano eruption cooled off the planet because at that point global land and ocean surface temperatures were very high.

Causes & Effects

In a paragraph of about 100 words, summarize the present and possible future effects of the recent volcano eruption in southern Iceland.  You may use information from the your handout, as well as other sources.

In every volcano eruption there are many effects, for example the volcano in southern Iceland known as Eyjafjoll. The first effect is that, the volcano has produced serious local flooding. Next, the volcano's ash grounded thousands of airline flights and causing general distress and wonderment. Also, it reflects enough sunlight to cool global ground temperatures by about 1 degree Fahrenheit. Furthermore, the National Oceanic and  Atmospheric Administration announced that saw the warmest combined global land and ocean surface temperatures on record. Finally, it might appear some effects in the future but there will be small. To sum up, volcanoes effects the temperature, natural phenomenons and our life.

Effects of the Erruption

When the volcano in southern Iceland erupted has had serious effects. First it has produced serious local flooding and the winds have spread the volcano's ash plum over Europe. Also, thousands of airline flights have been canceled and caused distress and wonderment. Moreover, another effect of volcano's eruption is that the sulfuric ash gets into stratosphere reflected sunlight to cool global ground temperatures. Finally, this eruption was the precursor to another larger eruption. If a larger eruption happens then there will be some climate effects.

WILL THE ICELANDIC VOLCANO COOL OFF THE PLANET???

CAUSES AND EFFECTS

According to Stephen J. Dubner at his article about icelandic volcano, inform us about impacts and possible effects that can have. The fisrt effect is serious local flooding. Second, is the canceling of thousands of airline flights because of the westerly winds that have spread the volcano's ash plume and the general distress and wonderment. An effect that is possible to happen is change in climate. Similarly, when other volcanoes had erupted, there was a fall in temperature by about 1 degree Fahrenheit for the next two years. Volcano's explosion is a natural phenomenon which can happen anytime. Nobody can control it , but it would be nice people be prepared for this.

Effects of the eruption

The volcano Eyjafjoll that has recently erupted in Iceland has had many effects on the the whole europe. The local areas have experienced flooding, furthermore the ash that has spread all over europe's atmosphere caused problems with air travel, for example many people could not reach their destination because the planes could not fly safely with all the ash in the way. On top of that the ash that was released in the atmosphere was full of substances like sulfur dioxide that may cause some climate changes in the future.

The process of rainbow

THE PROCESS OF RAINBOW

First of all,  white light from the Sun has to hit the raindrops at a certain angle before a rainbow is possible. It is best if the sun is fairly low in the sky such as dawn and late afternoon. The angle is important as it effect the direct the light travels after it hits the raindrops and that determines whether or not we will see a rainbow. Then, it is possible to see through a glass window but, at the same time, see your own reflection. Water can do this too. When light from the sun hits a water droplet, some of the light is reflected. This light will obey the law of reflection. Next, the light that is not refracted crosses the air-water interface. When this happens it slows down because the water is more dense than the air. After that, white light is made up of a spectrum of colours, each with its own wavelength. Different wavelengths travel at different speeds and when they encounter a change to medium that is more dense or less dense, the speeds are efected by different amounts.   Moreover, at the rear of the raindrop, the light hits the water-to-air interface. A rainbow will only be seen if this happens, otherwise the light will continue out the other side of the raindrop. In addition,  just as the light changed speed as it entered the raindrop, its speed changes again as it leaves. Here, the light is moving from a more dense medium to a less dense medium. As it does so, it speeds up and its path bends. Finally, as the rays are refracted once again, the various wavelengths are effected to different extents. The overall result of this is increased separation of the component colours of white light.
