SOLID MATERIALS

                        SOLID MATERIALS

All materials in the world can be divided into 3 categories: single crystal , polycrystals ,amorphous materials.
The first type crystalline solid is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an ordered pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions .Common crystals include snowflakes, diamonds, and table salt. However, most common inorganic solids are the second type the  polycrystals.Single crystals form only in special conditions. The normal solid form of an element or compound is polycrystalline. As the name suggests, a polycrystalline solid or polycrystal is made up of many crystals. Finally , the last type is  amorphous materials . Amorphous materials are solid materials that do not exist in their structure some periodicity. That is, the carbon in the solid is randomly distributed throughout the expansion of the material and have different properties than Crystals and polycrystals.
