mechanical engineering disciplines

Mechanical Engineering disciplines as it is at the university of technology in Cypryus are concerned with design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems, machines and tools and with the principles of physics and materials science. Both two disciplines are based on standard classes that exist in universities all over the world, such as mathematics, physics and science. The fisrt discipline of design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems, machines and tools mainly deals with different aspects of the machanical engineering cycle. In this part students make research and study about the design of products and create instructions for manufacturing parts, attend courses of technical drawing, which can be hand drawn or computer drawn. They also study about forces and their effect upon matter. They analyze and predict the acceleration and deformation of objects under known forces or stresses. Subdisciplines of mechanics include static, dynamics, kinemathics and many others. At the second discipline of principles of physics and materials science students learn about appropriate materials for the machines and tools of the mechanical systems. Students also learn lots of the required materials and expected to understand and be able to apply basic concepts from chemistry and the chemical status of each material. To sum up students of both disciplines of Mechanical Engineering must study and pass cources of both disciplines to ensure that engineers possess the necessary technical knowledge, real-world experience, and knowledge of the local legal system to practice engineering at a professional level.
