MECHANISM

Mechanism is a devise designed to transform input forces and movement into  a desired set of output forces and movement.  Also mechanism are an importan part of everyday life. They can be categorized according to their uses into four groups: rotary, ocsillating, linear and reciprocating.  The first type, rotary like weels ,gears and roller involve rotary movement. Rotary mechanism change the reciprocatinf motion into rotary motion.  The second type of mechanism is ocsillating.  Ocsillation motion is swinging from side to side, like pendalum in a clock.   The next type is linear. The linear is motion which is moving in straight line, such as on paper trimmer which used to cut the edge of the paper.  The last type is reciprocating.  Is moving backwards and forwards in straight line as in cutting with a saw.  The piston in a combustion engine reciprocates. Keep it mind that, while these four different types of mechanisms there can change and make your life easier!
